Docsis高级软件工程师负责整合TI和Broadcom的cable modem设计到SMC的高级服务网关中。本职位要求能深入理解参考设计，开发新软件功能，详细设计，和c代码编程。本职位需要同其他软件工程师和测试工程师协同工作设计并发布符合客户需求的产品。

职位要求：

计算机，通信等相关专业本科学历，硕士优先。

3年或以上嵌入式c语言，网络设备编程经验。

深入理解cable modem，Docsis,CMTS和HFC网络。

深入理解2层3层网络协议。包括：TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, SNMP, NAT, TELNET, SSH, routing, firewall, and VPN

深入理解操作系统知识。包括：linux和rtos

有TR-069开发经验优先。

Position Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer for DOCSIS will be responsible for integrating TI and Broadcom cable modem reference designs into SMC's advanced service gateways. This includes a deep understanding of the reference designs and the associated APIs for developing new software features, detailed designs, and the software "C" code required for completion. The Senior Software Engineer will also work with other software and test engineers to deliver product releases on time while meeting customer expectations for content and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a solution-oriented mindset, excellent programming skills and work well with teams to complete large software projects.
Work with the product management team to define new features.
Work with the software team to scope the resources needed to complete assigned projects.
Ensure successful delivery of development projects from both a time and quality perspective.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with groups across multiple time zones.
While the major duties listed above will take much of the Senior Software Engineer's time, other duties may be added as needed. SMC Networks values employees who are flexible and able to meet any challenge that comes our way.
Skills, Experience, Education, and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
· A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field; Masters degree preferred
· Three (3) years experience in software development of networking devices

Proven ability to configure and troubleshooting networking equipment
· Knowledge of software estimation methods, software project management and risk management
· An in depth understanding of Cable Modems, DOCSIS, CMTS, and HFC networks

An in depth knowledge of layer 2, IPv4, IPv6 networking protocols and application protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, SNMP, NAT, TELNET, SSH, routing, firewall, and VPN
· Wireless network design, implementation, security, and support
· Operating system experience, including installation and configuration of applications in Linux and real-time operating systems
· TR-069 experience a plus

Excellent communication skills and ability to work diverse group within the company
· Must be a flexible self-starter who can ramp up with new technologies quickly
· Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills
