Purpose of the Job
---To provide high quality tenders(high level of accuracy & in line with offering deadlines) to meet the regional sales and customer requirements by organizing internal resources of the factory with the support of respective managers and by coordination with Regional sales specialists ;
---To meet with tendering objectives(order intake,customer satisfaction, margin levels)
Organisational Reporting
Direct reports: Export Technical Tendering/Region Coordination Manager
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
-To support tendering manager to contact with the Region Sales Specialists/Customers in relation to all RFQ's and offer preparation;
-to liaise with region for unit go no go
-with the directions and supports of tendering manager, to organise the internal Engineering and Tendering resources of AST&AWT in an efficient and effective manner;
-set priorities in order to meet (costing and technical) tender deadlines;
-ensure detailed estimations of cost are produced, base on a bill of materials;
-to define the technical solution (in conjunction with the Engineering function of the Supplying Unit);
-to provide coaching to engineers to ensure the consistently high quality of Costing and Technical Tenders issued by the Supplying Unit;
-deal with (or redirect as appropriate) queries from Region Sales Specialists, Account Managers; or Customers
-to support Region in order to define the proper commercial/technical strategy for offer submission
-to assist in pre-sales activities, qualification process and "spec-in" support;
- to organize and support Region’s sales activities in supplying unit(customer visits( for product promotion, prequalification-audit, tender clarification, kick-off of projects, etc)
-to liaise with the Region in relation to factory loading issues and slot allocations within the Supplying Unit;
-to collect market information, be familiar with the market situation of the corresponding Regions and build up a common Region commercial database based on the information gathered
Measurement
-On time submission of tender ( completeness)
-Region complains
-Actual COS versus target COS(difference due to tender mistakes)
-Tendering efficiency
-Order intake volume & profitability level (as per budget)
Market and Business Understanding
Good transformer technical knowledge.
Good transformer market knowledge (customer preference/competition)
Good understanding of ALSTOM Grid process&policy
Educational Requirements
bachelor degree with university diploma(in Spanish language or preferable with electronical engineering background)
Experience
Good English level is a must .
Spanish language level shall be average+: fluent in communication both by oral and written.
1 year+ experience in bidding/tendering/commercial activities(preferable in the same T&D industry)
familiar with international trading/business terms
