This is a Famous USA Mechanical Company.


Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing the culture of Environment, Safety and
Health, driving improvements in Environmental Safety and Health (EHS)
Management Systems to enhance compliance, improve EHS performance, and achieve EHS excellence at all the company Asia sites. This position collaborates closely with the manufacturing organization, site leaders, and EH&S network (Corporate EHS Leaders, and other Leaders) to manage the EH&S activities in a manner that addresses the needs of the sites, division, and the corporation. This position ensures the sites are in compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines; drive EHS performance improvement initiatives, standardized work processes and efficiencies throughout the area.
Primary tasks
1. Provide guidance and support to Site EH&S Leaders, technology and manufacturing managers through continuous coaching, feedback, professional development and recognition
2. Leads the development of cross-regional and divisional approach to implement the company’s global EH&S strategy and drive improvements in the
EHS culture
3. Drive the implementation of EHS standards and other EH&S initiatives
4. Oversee, support and understand the impact of EHS businesses as it relates to the region
5. Engaged in planning compliance strategy in region in conjunction with
Mfg, EH&S VP, and EH&S Legal
6. Plan and organize management reviews and global EHS achievement reviews in the region
7. Participate on global incident review calls and ensure to disseminate best practices and learning from incidents.
8. Review and ensure compliance with regional and site annual and other agency reporting requirements
9. Participate in and lead EHS Audits
10. Ensure emergency response plans are in place and aligned with local regulatory, regional, divisional and corporate requirements.
11. Drive sharing of information (best practices, lessons learned, etc.) between sites, sub-regions, and corporate EH&S
12. Analyze and report regional EH&S performance
13. Ensure new local and regional EH&S regulations are identified, evaluated
and communicated to the business organization.
14. Participate in development and monitor regional EHS budget based on
input from site and division leadership.
15. Evaluate compliance needs and ensure support by EHS functions (e.g.
Risk Management / Process Safety Management, Safety, Environment,
Industrial Hygiene, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc.) Through working with functional leadership
16. Provide support to other EHS functions as needed.
17. Review and approval of contractors in the region.
18. Review and recommend (as appropriate) approval for regional capital
EH&S projects.

Key Deliverables and Measurements:
1. Achieve a year over year improvement in EHS KPIs
2. Ensure all sites are in compliance with international standard for EHS and guidelines of the company
3. Develop a team of EHS professionals in the region
4. Build awareness and develop a culture of EHS

Key Skills and Competencies

- BS degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental or occupational health and Safety sciences or equivalent combination of training & experience
- Masters in environmental engineering preferred
- At least 7 to 12 years’ experience in the environmental, health, & safety field
- Strong knowledge of local environmental and safety regulations esp
China, Taiwan, Australia
- Experience in Industrial MNC with manufacturing plant environment
- Ability to influence senior leaders in region and sites
- Should possess strong leadership, training, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and serve multiple sites
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Should have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence up, down and across the organization
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to other company operations within region of responsibility
- Fluent in English
