Job Description and Requirements

Synopsys, a world leader in the EDA and Silicon IP industry, is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer whose mandate is to:

Duty and Responsibilities:
? To define electronic system/block specifications and determine the design parameters, and select/create circuit architectures based on practical experience and knowledge of current circuit design literature. Implement rigorous circuit verification methodologies with the corresponding definition of the required documentation for presentation of design data and analysis of results.
? To execute analog integrated electronic design & development activities with quality within the appointed product development/project schedules, through the correct understanding of the product functionality and specifications.
? Participation in applicable product/project reviews, according to what is defined in the related development process.

Site in Macau:
Synopsys' leading DesignWare IP portfolio targeted for advanced Audio, Video and Data Conversion applications is developed in the Analog-IP division within Synopsys' Solutions Group. Analog-IP is staffed with R&D analog and digital design engineers, application engineers and test engineers among others based in Lisbon, Macau and Suzhou. The company's extensive analog IP portfolio enables next-generation SoC designers to integrate silicon-proven functionality previously available only to large integrated device manufacturers. The IP is licensed to leading semiconductor companies across all major markets, offering high-precision, single-function blocks to complete analog sub-systems.
Requirements
? University degree in Electronics Engineering with 2-5 years (or >5 years for Senior position) of related analog IC design experience.
? Preference for background in Data Conversion design (ADCs, DACs), Audio Codec or Audio Drivers design
? Past experience working through the entire analog design flow steps, namely, schematic entry, spice simulation, IC layout, layout verification and validation.
? Possesses a solid understanding and experience in deep submicron CMOS technologies.
? Receives little instructions on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments and projects.
? Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
? May guide junior colleagues with aspects of their job.
? Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
? Applies company policies & procedures to resolve various issues
? Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
? Good written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills.
? Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.
? Has familiarity with UNIX operating systems.
? Organizational skills are essential.
