Description:
A Product Engineer for the Proteus OPC Core Engine to interface with both the Product Development and Field Engineering organizations. Responsibilities for Core Engine tools and functions include:
1. Debugging software issues during development and also customer usage,
2. Understanding customer needs and product requirements from Field Engineering and Customers, and championing these for product development or improvement,
3. Testing data flows from the customer perspective
4. Training and supporting the Field Engineering organization to use Core Engine tools, and
5. Occasional travel to customer sites in Asia. The role requires becoming an expert in an advanced Core Engine technique such as Proteus Pipeline Technology, Hierarchy optimization, productivity optimization, etc.

Requirements:
Must have an MS or Ph.D. in EE/Physics or related field; or BS with equivalent experience
Must have excellent software-troubleshooting skills, and good Unix software skills.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
Highly desired: direct OPC software tool experience (especially Proteus)
Highly desired: A background in programming or scripting
Desired: background in lithography, DRC, computational geometry, computer graphics or image processing
Beneficial: experience in training and customer interaction
