Responsibilities:
- Partner with SCM Manager/Account Team/Customer Services to prepare pull signal for pipeline inventory replenishment, provide supply visibility and highlight risks 2-3 months forward.
- Communicate within SCM or highlight to Plant Planners the risks for customer demand and production schedule, shipping and customs, packaging sufficiency, and schedule conflicts. Develop solutions and coordinate with division or the other regions to mitigate the shortage risk.
- Communicate supply updates back to Account Teams, highlight divisional strategies, risks and mitigate actions taken
- Manage Company-side logistics including packaging sufficiency, send/return packaging materials, forwarders, customs, cost-saving moves
- Collect logistics requirements and provide input/specification for procurement function to manage forwarder/transportation vendor sourcing and bidding, manage forwarder transitions.
- Work together with Procurement/Forwarder/Commercial / WW Process Engineering for breakage /glass shift issue related claim handling
Challenge and review supply strategy for better response time and buffer levels for each customer.
- Identify the opportunity to improve the accuracy and accountability of global tactical planning solutions and support enhancement efforts
- Ensure China logistics processes comply with trade compliance regulations in China, maintain ongoing awareness of new and changing requirements

Project involved with:
- New customer supply plan development (including network optimization, warehouse locations, Hub inventory replenishment methodology, pipeline inventory management)
- Close work with procurement and plant logistics team to ensure a smooth transition once new forwarder selected
- System/Process improvement on packing material tracking system


Requirement:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or master degree in engineering or supply chain related field
- Over 6 years hands-on experience in inventory management/RCCP/MRP/CRP/master planning/purchasing or related BPI efforts in international company or consulting firms
- Semi-con/LCD/Consumer Electronic industries preferred
- Proficient in constrained based planning environment and be sensitive to inventories, lead-time, constraints and planning data accuracy
- Good understanding on SCM concept, process, system, tool and metrics
- Business intelligence experience and/or data mining skill preferred
- CPIM or APICS trained is a plus


Technical Skills
- Strong problem solving skills in supply chain management domain
Ability to set and communicate priorities and work in a dynamic business environment
- Proven, successful track record in global companies or consulting firms
- Supplier/forwarder management experience
SCM package experience (SAP-APO, Oracle-ASCP, PeopleSoft, i2-SCP/FP, Adexa, Manugistics …) is a plus
- Engineering background is a plus
- Project Management skills
- Process oriented, able to establish/design, implement and measure processes effectively
- Strong multiple –culture understanding. Able to interact effectively with regional and global colleagues
- Good presentation skill
- Good English verbal and writing capability
Independent: may work effectively across functions and locations
- CPIM is a plus
