TITLE
Sales Manager / Sales Supervior - Wire & Cable
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting to Regional Sales Manager, Sales Manager will plan, develop and execute effective programs to produce the sales objective for the region in Industrial market segments. He/ She will have direct responsibility for all Sales Representatives, Account Managers and is responsible for all activities related to their positions.
1. Responsible for achieving sales budgets for the region and point-of-sale accounts assigned.
2. Responsible for submitting and achieving annual budgets, board estimates, and monthly commitments.
3. Responsible for the sale of the entire Belden product line within assigned region.
4. Manages and directs all sales and field marketing activities in the assigned region through the Managers and Sales Representatives.
5. Evaluates standards of performance of subordinates and takes corrective action when required.
6. Makes recommendations for the establishment of sales quotas and sales objectives.
7. Develops and directs plans to improve relationships with key distributors/customers with high potential.
8. Meets regularly with Managers and Sales Representatives to make calls on key accounts and evaluate total performance.
9. Directs and implements the Belden China Sales and Marketing Plan as it applies to the region.
10. Makes recommendations on changes in distribution.
11. Establishes close working relationships with principal executives at major distributors, customers.
12. Makes specific reports on competitive activity and marketing trends.
13. Plans and directs sales development activity in the region.
14. Makes recommendations on new products requirements.
15. Sees that all Sales activities are coordinated with Marketing, Engineering, and Sales Management.
16. Responsible for and maintains control of special inventory to ensure turns consistent with Division goals.
17. Monitors and controls returns of distributors for stock adjustments and sales policy.
18. Participates in a bottom-up budgeting process.
19. Must be capable of complying with Company Attendance Policy.
20. Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
1. 4-year bachelor degree
2. An MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus.
3. Previous direct sales responsibility for distribution and end user markets required.
4. Managerial skills of planning, organizing and controlling and a high degree of interpersonal skill are required are also necessary.
5. A proven achiever and results-oriented individual who is self-confident and possesses and practices a positive can-do attitude.
6. A mature-minded and self-confident individual who possesses stamina and energy, and will exert the extraordinary effort that is required.
7. An action-minded individual who is adept at building team spirit and fostering creativity and innovation. An excellent people developer and team builder.
8. An excellent communicator, both oral and written English, with strong interpersonal skills that can rapidly establish credibility with a broad range of individuals.
9. An individual who can make decisions and can operate independently yet knows when to involve others. A problem solver and able to make timely and/or tough decisions.
10. Someone with excellent personal and professional presence.
11. A team player; personable, outgoing and aggressive, but not abrasive.
12. High ethical standards and strong personal values.
