Overview
The Wear Service Manager is responsible for the dramatic growth of the HWP and Wear Service business in his/her area, in line with SSABs strategic targets
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Set up a governance model of the Hardox Wearparts network best suited for the local market conditions, laws and SSABs strategy regarding Wear Service. Setting this will be run as project and afterwards when the governance model is set the Wear Service Manager will run the function delivering the offer and support to the Hardox Wearparts members (the result can be from todays loyalty program to changing Hardox Weararts into a franchising program or anything in between).
? He/She is overall responsible (volume, profit, growth, support) for SSAB’s business and relationship with the HWP network and the development and growth of the Wear Service business through the members in his/her area
? Plan for and grow the HWP network by adding new members
? Lead, create and develop the sales of complementary products within the Wear Service area and within the agreed geography, enhancing SSAB’s wear offer outside the Hardox plate business
? Regular and open communication with SSAB’s sales organisation in order to fully understand the adjacent market situation in the member’s geography and to inform about the Wear Services activities on the market
? Be very clear on the expectations on the individual HWP member, and actively follow up them and report progress internally
? Help the HWP to segment the local after market in order to identify growth potential in each segment. This includes a market analysis for each local area: segments, volume and profitability potential, product offer, processing need
? Provide accurate and timely feedback on competitor activities and pricing and assist in developing SSAB’s pricing strategy as requested and support the work on how SSAB should position itself going forward
? Use central resources (marketing, business development, techsupport for technical coaching and workshop audit, etc.) to help realize the sales and market plan
? Meeting regularly the HWP member’s customer (end users)
? Help HWP to develop an efficient own sales set-up (coaching)
? Organization of technical seminars
? Support the HWP members with central resources in order to win business opportunities (e.g. scanning device,...)
? Maintain a daily visit log, prepare and submit a weekly summary report.
? Develop and teach customer’s staff by providing technical information and training regarding SSAB products and services
? Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment or service applications in HWP customer’s environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes or use of materials and services
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
? Driven / enthusiastic / open minded / excellent communication skills and ability to enhance trust with HWP members and SSAB’s plate sales organization / pro-active and organized working style
? Languages: perfect knowledge of the languages spoken in the area of responsibility / English / any additional languages are strong advantages
? Minimum 5 years of similar working experience with vast knowledge from typical Hardox aftermarket segments. Technical interest, proven background in technical sales and/or technical sales support functions in combination with a true commercial drive
? Maintaining good public relations by displaying an attitude of dedication, courtesy and professional competence that will be recognized as such by the customer
? Others:
? Experience from managing people and developing business
? Analytical skills
? Experience in drawings, working with templates, and basic understanding and interest of CAD and nesting software, familiar with Microsoft Office computer applications
? Customer first focus with a business perspective and attention to detail is important for succes in this position
? Available to spend 75% of time on the field, at customers, therefore possibility to travel frequently is a pre-requisite
