Requirements
? 5+ years’ sales and business development experience in a small molecule CDMO environment
?Must be knowledgeable of the business landscape with established contacts within relevant innovators and generic pharmaceutical companies in the region – China, Japan and India in particular.
? Based in Wuhan or any major coastal city.
?Technical background minimum of BS in Chemistry or related field of study. Higher degrees are also acceptable (MS or PhD)
? Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills
? Fluency in English is critical to be successful. Ability to communicate in Japanese will be a strong plus.
? Up to 50% of travel is required, both to the internal sites and to customer sites.
Responsibilities
? Develop a strategic plan for increasing sales for CDMO small molecule projects in the region.
? Coordinate F2F and virtual meetings to develop and manage relationships
? Give presentations on behalf of company tailored to specific customer projects
? Define regional marketing strategies
?Organize and coordinate team attendance of key regional conferences and trade shows (CPhI, etc.) with sales and leadership team
? Identify, evaluate, and develop prospects for new business opportunities
?Ensure existing accounts are serviced effectively, obtain orders, and establish new accounts through organizing and planning
? Supporting sister company business development activities. Coordinate joint projects with Hankang and Hiray.
?Call on prospective accounts, provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations and support proposal generation. Prepare client specific scientific presentations and other scientific data to respond to customer requests
? Work as customer’s champaign with internal teams to translate client needs and expectations into reality
? Coordinate the proposal process and serve as facilitator for final contract negotiations
?Maintain and report up to date sales information, forecasts/pipelines, report individual sales results and analysis/interpretation of sales trends within sales region and business segment
?Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products and merchandizing techniques
