R&R for the position:

· Build and support the transition from an established commodity to a wider system level commodity structure

· Cost down activities – lead high level negotiations and delivery supply agreements to attain world class cost, quality and timing

· Support Commodity bid lists, track supplier performance and source new business via VBuyer process.

· Use relevant technical requirements and work with key suppliers to find optimum trade-offs for lowest total cost solution utilizing the TQCM initiative.

· Responsible for the development and implementation of commodity strategies to delivery maximum competitive advantage.

· Benchmarking, rationalization, development and management of critical and strategic suppliers.

· Supplier evaluation and selection, and relationship management.

· Support new business pursuits and maintain database of key supplier technology capabilities.

· Execute best in class sourcing process to secure sourcing nomination of optimal total cost solution to support company programs, through global supplier quotations, negotiations and successful contract management.

· Identify new technologies and suppliers to achieve give company a competitive advantage

Education:

· Bachelor degree or above in business management or purchasing relative majors.

Required Skills and Experience:

· At least 8 years relevant purchasing experience in international sourcing in automotive industry

· Proven knowledge of commodity strategies, product knowledge in Plastics/Sheet metal and casting supplier dealing

· Ba familiar with value chain analysis tools i.e. VA/VE or TQCM3

· Effective negotiation skills, supplier evaluation/selection experience and relationship building skills

· Effective communication skills at all levels, presentation skills in both written English and verbal English, Japanese language is a plus

· Passion for the technology and entrepreneurial approach

· Ability to be assertive within a team orientated environment

· Results driven within a time constrained environment

· Drive to create personal objectives/targets from company/department objectives

Language:

· Fluent in business English, and good presentation and writing skills
