Job Summary

Primary owner of all Windows infrastructure configurations, operational run books and associated documentation. Lead technical resource on all Windows operating systems and Exchange/Outlook, Blackberry Server, Sharepoint and Active Directory applications. Work in tandem with system administrators, DBAs and network administrators in support of Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain and support Windows operating systems and Microsoft software applications, including Active Directory, Exchange/Outlook, Blackberry Server, Sharepoint, and Office.

2. Monitor and report on system availability and perform problem diagnosis and resolution.

3. Provide support for anti-virus tools.

4. Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure system integrity.

5. Monitor system availability and recovery.

Qualifications:

Education

Prefer a bachelor's degree in a related area and 5 plus years of experience in the field or in a related area or 10 years experience. Microsoft Certification Classes preferred. Accreditation/certifications/licenses: MCSE or MCP a plus (others as applicable).

Experience

5 + years Windows/Exchange/Blackberry Server/Sharepoint/AD experience in a 200+ user community. 5 + years systems hardware, software and network monitoring, system health monitoring and management reporting. Experience with IT helpdesk concepts a plus. 5+ years experience using Microsoft operating systems and applications (5 years).

Competencies

Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Windows administration, system availability and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, and security. Be able to articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of data center concepts for system layout and system implementation. Knowledge of data center concepts for multi-data center operations with high availability systems. Ready and able to work in a 24x7 IT operation. Knowledge of IT operations best practices, including ITIL or Six Sigma. Excellent open and proactive written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in team-oriented, multi tasked, matrix managed environment. Mentor other system administrators.
