- Provider technical proposal/guideline during PCBA/FPCA design with early engagement with DE, NPI and Vendor to eliminate potential manufacturing risk;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external customers to identify, characterize and deliver manufacturing processes that enable the commercialization of unique and emerging technologies in new product categories.
- Continuously and actively pursues and drives improvement in design opportunities, based on business benefits.
- Works closely together with engineering teams for new process capabilities to improve the efficiency and quality, think outside the box
- Updates documents and teaches new Design for Manufacturing learnings to all teams (DE, ME, QE)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering process or hardware design;
- 5+ years of professional experience in the high volume consumer electronics industry
- Solid knowledge of general quality and manufacturing processes/ techniques, (statistical) quality control programs, engineering and technology principles and practices.
- Familiar with electrical component manufacturing processes, FPCA and PCBA design & SMT manufacturing;
- Rich experience of EE component and material selection and good knowledge of electronic component international safety standards and other technical knowledge e.g. Hot Bar, ACF, COG, reliability;
- Plan, develop and implement technically complex procedures for PCBA manufacturing process, rework, and testing;
- Excellent in reading and writing English.
