Purpose of Position

    

• The role is reasonable for operating electrical (High voltage and low voltage) components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, and identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices, follow state and local regulations based on the National Electric Code, Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment during normal operation and followed electrical safety rules.
• Needs to know how to implement equipment maintenance works to ensure system reliability as organization needed. PM/PDM are required need to be implemented. After equipment or system installation, the Engineer makes sure the system is operating properly by conducting a series of equipment tests
• Provides subject matter expertise in electrical equipment aspect and fundamental process understanding, have strong data collect and analysis ability.
• To solve difficult technical, engineering related problems and drive  electricity consumption reduction
• Understands Corning’s Intellectual property and Safety management processes and follows that process during perform day-to-day duty.

    

    

    

2.    Major Responsibilities / Ongoing Tasks

    

• Establish goals and objectives in conjunction with facility group leaders and manage the engineering activities in electrical system to achieve the said objectives.
• Conduct high voltage system (GIS / TR) annual maintenance activities
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment to include: operating adjustments and calibrations on equipment, basic mechanical and electrical work and cleaning, lubricating and replacing equipment parts
• Define maintenance and operations strategy for emergency generator, oil/dry type transformer, HV/LV, VCB,ACB and power distribution system
• Promotes positive relationships and communicates effectively and courteously with coworkers, and outside plant associates
• To have clear understanding of the Main Power, Emergency Power, and Lighting Systems within the Plant.
• To manage necessary contractor Controls resources to support Facility objectives.
• To ensure Electrical and Power System drawings are archived properly
• To Provide higher level troubleshooting, to ensure timely solutions of system or equipment issues
• Provide professional engineering and manufacturing skills and knowledge (understands theories and fundamentals), and capable of root cause analysis, and put permanent solutions in place.
• To report out the issues with professional data analysis and clear logical process.
• Identifies, justifies, and implements reliability improvement projects
• Meet all SHE requirements.
• Design, install, debug and or specifies new equipment or modifies existing equipment to continuously improve system reliability
• To have electrical knowledge related to all facilities equipment within the Plant.
• Meet Facility department requirement and conduct rigorous change control and clear communication with all.
• To establish and update system SOS/Base Case/PM/ER SOP as needed and insure all PM were performed rightly by technicians.
• To assist with cross function for some issues related to facilities.
• To development training materials and provide training to technicians.

Education & Experience  

§  Education Level Required – Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and Automation

    

    

§  Experience

    

-              5 or more years of experience in HV power system

    

-              Deeply understanding of 220/10 Kv Power system design, operation and maintenance

    

-              Deeply understanding of 220/10Kv transformer/GIS, Relay protection

    

-              High/Low voltage operating license (高压入网证, 高压电工作业, 低压电工作业)

-              Familiar with the practice of equipment develop, design, select, purchase, start-up and debug
