Responsibilities:

·        Direct and lead the Mechanical Engineering team with full ownership and engineering responsibility for the development and release of new CVD products, including support of existing products, as well and designing and releasing new upgrades.

·        Be the technical lead guiding the product development activities, working through the engineers on-site to develop the CVD tools for semiconductor manufacturing

·        Ensure successful fulfillment of team responsibilities including:

o   Work with technology, marketing and peer engineering teams to define product requirements, architecture and develop release and test plans

o   Lead the design of HW features, prototype integration and testing of assemblies, subsystems and systems

o   Troubleshoot systems and subsystem issues and work with various teams to find and implement solutions

o   Contribute to research, evaluation, and proposals for new product features in support of corporate or customer requirements

o   Creation and updating of product family trees and standard product BOMs for released products, to be used by Manufacturing Engineering in the configuration of system BOMs to fulfill specific customer orders

o   Setup and drive small team efforts that address product-level issues (such as design issues, supplier issues, MFG escalations, or improvement projects)

o   Development of new upgrades and service offerings to help drive business growth, including the requirements definition, design and development, verification and release of the new products

o   Support of new systems orders, including Requirements Reviews, internal system specification generation, creation of system-specific BOMs for non-standard systems, and engineering documentation for systems

o   Completion of CIP (Continuous Improvement Programs) to address specific issues with released products, provide incremental improvements to performance, or resolve obsolescence issues

o   Technical support for escalations on released products and/or ETO products, when issues cannot be handled by field or operations teams

o   Ensure compliance of released products with applicable safety standards, including SEMI S2

·        Manage the projects, time and tasks of the team, coordinating the completion of milestones with customer’s needs, operations and engineering schedules

·        Improve overall engineering capability, product development and deployment capability, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and other core engineering areas, with the overall goal of improved quality, delivery and customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

A minimum of 10 years in engineering design and development, with experience in semi-conductor equipment preferred.

A minimum of 5 years in an engineering leadership position is required. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·        Broad level of mechanical engineering experience and knowledge, with a focus on systems engineering capability

·        Experience with designing vacuum and high-temperature reactors is preferred

·        Experience with Automation solutions for semiconductor equipment is preferred

·        Strong working knowledge and application of basic engineering principles

·        Ability to review and direct engineering work of team members in multiple engineering disciplines, including systems, electrical, mechanical and motion

·        Working knowledge of ERP tools, such as SAP or similar program

·        Strong computer skills including MS Office products, MS Project, SharePoint and basic CAD

·        Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills

·        Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and to interact with a diverse group of individuals
