As a growing local business, our office needs a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist to handle purchasing, supplier interface, logistics and import/export.

The Role:

Responsible for the Purchasing, Supply Chain and Logistics functions for a series of high value, technically complex, low volume production and component manufacturing projects.

The role is covering all aspects of the supply chain from supplier selection through purchasing, supplier management, internal logistics and import/export to support the projects requirements.

Key parts of the role include:

? Management of purchasing, supply chain and logistics processes.

? Managing a defined list of categories/projects and/or suppliers

? Supporting Operational requirements as and when deemed necessary.

? Defining and negotiating contractual terms with suppliers.

? Selection and introduction of new suppliers.

? Maintaining and improving the ERP system functions and data that support the Supply Chain activity.

? Understanding and reporting the performance of the supply chain.

? Continuous improvement of the purchasing, supply chain management and logistics processes.

? Manage the import/export process following project needs.

? Manage CAPEX investment process.

The ideal candidate:

? Experience of purchasing and supply chain management in a low volume, high value, high variety manufacturing environment.

? Good working knowledge of configuration control and traceability requirements and processes.

? Ability to negotiate T&Cs and prices with suppliers to achieve strategic objectives.

? Experience working with MRP/ERP systems for supply chain demand planning.

? Good working knowledge of logistics processes

? Process improvement, particularly related to ‘Lean’ techniques and philosophy

? Working in small integrated teams

? Previous end-to-end supply chain responsibility

? Supplier performance audit and assessment

? Working with mainstream automotive or aerospace quality management processes

? Negotiation of price and terms with suppliers

? Experience in Import/Export process management (paperwork, agent supervision, HS code, Incoterms) from and to China.

? Administrative experience 

? Ability to manage multiple short-term priorities

? A collaborator, you will work well with internal and external stakeholders

? An analytical and strategic thinker, you will have the ability to develop and present balanced, insightful conclusions to stakeholders.

? A resilient, pragmatic and determined outlook .

? A good communicator, you will have a high standard of written and spoken Chinese and English.

Qualifications: 

? University degree, Master preferred.

? At least 5 years working experience in purchasing and logistics.
