职位描述

The purpose of this position is to increase market share and profitability for the solder paste product line. Work closely with Portfolio Manager, SMT to develop and execute strategies that; fill product gaps through changes in product positioning or new product development, support the changing needs of the regions we operate in and leverage our strengths in adjacent markets.


Job Description

  • Identify gaps in our solder paste product portfolio for a variety of PCB assembly applications and, in conjunction with Portfolio Mgr., SMT, develop appropriate Business Cases for NPD or Application Development initiatives.

  • Contribute to the maintenance of an evergreen Technology Roadmap for solder paste.  Collaborate with OEM and Regional Account teams to conduct regular TRM exchanges with key customers. Disseminate learnings to R&D and Applications teams to determine impact on existing or new projects.

  • Participate in the ongoing updating of the SMT Portfolio Plan to support product line growth targets. This will include TRMs, Impact of Key Product Launches, Identification of project to drive improved margin, areas of potential Non-NPD share gain, identification of potential adjacent markets and supporting financial analysis to make go/no go decisions, outline of MarCom needs for the product line including advertising, special promotions, social media, and modifications to website.

  • Maintenance and updating of our product positioning strategy for the solder paste product line and communication of the positioning strategy to the global sales channel.

  • Assessment of competitive solder paste offerings and determination of appropriate response.

  • Provide regular support to global commercial teams for solder paste related issues including, technical inquiries, product recommendations, pricing, etc…

  • Organize and /or participate in remote and on-site customer or partner presentations, seminars, training, etc…

  • In conjunction with Portfolio Mgr., SMT, develop and execute Marketing Communications Plan for solder paste product line.

  • Development of total cost of ownership models to demonstrate value of new and leading solder paste products.

  • Engagement with Manufacturing/GPEG as needed to advance solder paste related initiatives as outlined in the SMT Portfolio Plan.

  • Work with commercial teams and use Atlas to determine the highest value opportunities where Marketing support could help close the business more quickly.

  • Work with other MPS businesses to determine how best to leverage technologies from more than one business to create value for customers.

  • Development and dissemination of tools, reports and collateral to help commercial teams in their selling efforts.

  • Manage pipeline of R&D service requests related to the portfolio.

  • Provide support and guidance to Product Specialists as needed.

  • Serve as Commercial Champion on solder paste related Technology, Applications and New Product Development projects and assist project teams to overcome obstacles as needed.

  • Provide regular communication for both internal and external customers regarding key product line developments (i.e. case studies, success stories, technical advancements, etc). 

 

Job Requirement

  • Must be able to travel up to a maximum of 25% of working time globally and domestically.
  • Familiarity with the electronic assembly industry.
  • Be a team member participating in a cross-functional team environment translating customer needs into technology solutions. 
  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to drive project goals via influence on the organization
  • Must abide by all Company policies/procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of the Company’s products and procedures.
  • Possess well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Address inquiries and resolve problems by using appropriate resources/other departments to achieve results/answers.
  • Present a professional attitude and handle confidential information according to non-disclosure guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment.
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English. 
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact professionally with internal customers at off-site AMG and divisional locations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.   
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
