POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
At
least 5 years shop experience, preferably working experience in heavy
equipment manufacturing. Strong experience and knowledge in fabrication,
welding and machining
Basic knowledge in heat treatment, NDE,
testing etc, certified welding inspector and/or Mechanical Engineer
and/or Quality Engineering and/or NDE Certification preferred.
Technical writing skills and understanding of inspection and manufacturing processes
Fluent English skills are a must.
Computer literate
Diligent and serious-minded attitude to work
Capable
of (1) Fabrication inspection (dimensional checks); (2) Visual Weld
Inspection (possibly AWS CWI certification); (3) Welding documentation
review and approval (per AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6 & ASME Section IX); (4)
NDT interpretation (especially UT, MT & LP testing); (5) Machining
inspection (capable of using applicable machine shop measuring tools
accurately); (6) Reviewing and approving various Material Test Reports
(MTR'); (7) Reading and understanding complex mechanical engineering
drawings and specifications. (8) Writing detailed inspection reports
utilizing the English language.
