We are looking for an Internal Communications professional, well-versed in communications’ consultancy, developing and honing business leaders’ communication skills.

Job Mission

As an Internal Communications Manager you are responsible for informing, engaging and connecting employees. Your aim will be to drive employee’s motivation and capabilities to execute complex tasks through access to relevant information and a variety of activities that drive an enjoyable and sustainable environment to work, meet, share and learn. In order to increase employee engagement we focus on six key topics: Business sense, connectedness, achieve and improve, pride, safety and support.

Job Description

You’ll be involved in developing communications strategy and execution activities for better employee engagement across operating offices in ASML China. Your activities will touch colleagues cross-sector and throughout ASML.

As an Internal Communications Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

? Stakeholder management: building positive relationships with Management that result in internal changes with demonstrable positive impact.

? Employee engagement: taking ownership for professional communications activities within the scope of the role, focused on value-adding activities that help realize targets.

? Channel management: developing and managing key communications channels.

? Raise country visibility amongst global ASML employee community: producing and editing news/copy to support internal communications.

?

? Change management: analyzing and breaking up complex problems into tasks and responsibilities that can be, and are, delegated and executed.

? Independently identify high-impact opportunities, initiate and execute actions.

In order to achieve these targets, some of the expected activities include:

? Create internal comms plan for China, with SMART targets endorsed by China management leadership

? Employee meetings across all business activities (business lines, business sectors, ~15 country sites) - identify topics, set up agenda, suggest and review content and messaging, host and facilitate meeting and provide feedback to Management.

? Support global projects: working with global Internal Communications Business Partners, providing valid insights and suggestions and implementing global projects to local.

Education

Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Journalism.

Experience

  • 8-10 years' proven experience and track record in developing and implementing internal communications plans in an international enterprise environment.

  • Excellent knowledge of internal communication channels and appreciation of their effectiveness.

  • Experience in working consultatively with tact and diplomacy and being persuasive in demanding situations.

  • Strong stakeholder management - experience working with executive levels in an international environment and the ability to influence and network.

  • Proven ability to manage internal and external resources, and implement multiple projects across geographical and business/product areas.

Personal skills

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills:

? Exceptional writing and communication skills (native English standard). Which precise level Cambridge in spoken and written English?

? Writing & presentation skills: internal news, scripts, scenarios, etc.; presentation support, stage work. Has gained Cambridge Certificate (or equivalent). Comfortable with writing style that effectively informs. Secure grasp of spelling, grammar, writing mechanics, and punctuation.

? Strategy & Business understanding, (internal) customer understanding: Articulates understanding of business performance through strategic objectives and own role. Understands the markets in which we operate, business trends, sales etc)

? Planning & measurement abilities: includes application of Agile, Scrum, etc. Starts prioritizing while executing plan. Recognizes power and relevance of measurement. Proposes metrics to improve. Builds measurement into plans and applies best practice measurement tools. Aligns plan with priorities of business. Translates measurement data in smartly contextualized conclusions and reports.

? Consultation capabilities: Questions and provides feedback. Observes subtleties. Adept at reading and interpreting nonverbal communication cues. Drills down to essence. Comms coaching and advising leaders. Demonstrates empathy and diplomacy in difficult situations. Finds mutually agreeable ways to resolve issues.

? Focus on delivering value: create impact, deliver tangible business outcomes for ASML and (internal) customer. Takes initiative and responsibility to create a plan and drive the execution. Begins counseling others how to generate results vs. perform activities. Able to translate business objectives into clear, compelling meaningful communications programs.

? Set priorities: in accordance with ASML corporate as well as communications department strategy. Determines project list and sets priorities together with stakeholders

? Assertiveness: tenacity, goal orientation, focus on end-result. Identify opportunities and agility to see alternative strategies to accomplish goals). Shows determination in the face of obstacles and setbacks. Adopts a flexible approach in addressing hurdles

? Pro-actively share information: (up & down), strong and effective communications. Shares information without being asked, based on understanding of others’ need.

Working within the Communications Team South-East Asia at ASML you’ll be at the heart of this worldwide company. In this role, you’ll be involved in developing communications strategy and support core processes and functions for ASML China.
