职位描述

Key Activities and Responsibility

  • Logistics Operation (30%)
  • Trace and Track daily shipments (Both inbound and outbound) and manage all exceptions with effective logistics solution
  • Escalate potential/existing issues to the right level of leadership
  • Communicate with logistics service providers on issues and improvement opportunities regularly
  • Safeguard the premium freight AOP target and coordinate urgent delivery upon RID approval at right cost
  • Maintain the tariff and routes in LMS (Logistics management System for Garrett) and serve as focal point to respond system related issue/requirement including training to APAC suppliers and internal users
  • Participate and support the upgrading of LMS
  • Freight audit and payment application
  • Market intelligence sharing, logistics risk alert and contingency planning to avoid production disruption
  • Maintain and communicate Vendor Transit Time file with the most optimum lead time structure on regular basis

  • Project Management (30%)
  • Lead Freight Control Tower Project roadmap, SOP standardization and timely execute the projects in a way of six sigma
  • Drive origin & destination consolidation and mode optimization Initiatives for the APAC region
  • Facilitate logistics or project meetings and managing the expectation from internal stakeholders and achieve alignment on the project result and service levels
  • Provide training to site functional team on logistics protocols, tools and procedures, etc.
  • Sourcing support by providing SOW of each mode of transportation
  •   Provide necessary support to NPI projects 
  • Team management (20%)
  • Develop, coach a team of 7-8 4PL implants in different locations
  • Manage the team performance and closely monitor daily job and improve the team stability and capability
  • Drive operation process optimization and best practice sharing across all sites in the region.
  • Inspire and align employee and stakeholders through effective communication and recognition
  • Implement MOS with key stakeholders (SCM, Warehouse, Customs Compliance, procurement , IAM & other functions in plants ) to review initiatives and track performance

  • Data analysis, Planning & Reporting (20%)
  • Deal with exceptional reports and potential claim negotiation with clear CAP.
  • Perform QBR with strategic forwarders and manage 3PL KPI                                                                            
  • Logistics cost analysis on regular basis and conduct special project
  • Monitor New lane request  and PF bid compliance in LMS
  • Finance support during month closure and provide site level freight forecast
  • Freight assessment in accordance with SIOP fluctuation and MPS, inventory risks
  • Any Ad hoc requests as assigned by APAC & AME logistics manager

Knowledge, skills and other qualification

  • Education and experience

A Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics and at least 3 years in managerial roles and preferable having working experience from Global forwarding companies and automotive industry.

Knowledge and skills

  1. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills in English and Chinese as the candidate will be required to liaise with Cross culture leadership and Supplier counterparts               
  2. Prior experience working on Logistics and Transportation field such as carriers, freight forwarders is desirable as this role will involve extensive knowledge of logistics   
  3. The candidate should be well versed with Microsoft Products and SAP or Oracle based TMS   
  4. Strong project management and presentation skill
  5. Proven experience in people management
  6. Work independently
  7. Self-motivated
  8. Professional in data analysis and solution making
