Quality Assurance Manager

To assist in managing the QA Team to provide quality QA inspection services and technical support within the region to ensure customers' quality standards are met

Job Descriptions:

1. Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide advice and solutions on technical issues (e.g. construction of products / materials) considering the features and limitations of products and materials

- Create inspection schedules for QA team

- Inspect materials, accessories, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality

- Work with merchandisers and factories to solve production and quality problems

- Investigate reasons for product rejection

2. Assist in managing a team of QA inspectors to provide QA inspection services

- Set QA standards and processes

- Supervise and delegate work to subordinates

- Provide solutions to problems encountered by subordinates

3. Provide QA advice on complex product items to factories before and during the manufacturing process

- Communicate customers' requirements to factories

- Check if materials used for mass production are of acceptable quality

- Provide advice on feasibility of customers' proposed requirements and suitability for mass production

- Anticipate problems / defects that may arise in the manufacturing process

4. Conduct factory audits to ensure that factories meet international / customers' compliance standards

- Conduct initial audits for new factories

5. Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers' quality standards

- Inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers' samples) including materials, accessories, parts, components etc.

- Approve samples

6. Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality

- Communicate new standards to factories

- Give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality

- Answer merchandisers' enquires on quality / materials issues

7. Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirements:

1. Education Level: College or university graduated.

2. Years of Experience: over 8 years experiences in Manufacturing Industry or Buying/Trading office on garment fields for EU Market, with 3-5 years as management role.Good technical experience and problem solving skills.

3. Good knowledge of ISO9000/ISO14000/AQL2.5/4.

4. Language Skills: Good on written English, Intermediate level of oral English.

5. Computer Skills: Able to use Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc) professionally.

6. Travel Requirements: Frequently
