As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Electrification Products Division and Building Products Business Unit (BU) based in Shenzhen. ABB is the world leader in offering the Electrification Products and Systems that provide Building Products, Electrification Solutions, Installation Products, Protection and connection and Medium Voltage Products.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the Electrical Design, localization, and sustain in China for electrical vehicle charger infrastructure products.

Your Task as an Electrical Engineer will include the following:

1) Under the guidance of Electrical Manager to finish the design, localization and manufacturing of the electrical section of EV Charger.
2) Provide electrical inputs to other functional members in to operate in different gate stage – power blocks, logical circuit, components design, and schematic design, etc.
3) Document and archive all electrical deliverables in each gate and maintain these files.
4) Ensure adherence to ABB integrity and safety rules and regulations.

a. Ph.D., Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Control etc.
b. Master’s degree above 3 years’ (5+ years for a Bachelor degree and 1+ years for a Ph.D. degree) Experience in an Electrical position in the field of Power Electronics, International company with China design presence background is preferred.
c. Good understanding of the Power Electronics simulation and can use at least one of these simulation tools: PLECS, MATLAB, Saber, PSIM etc.
d. Have good Knowledge in UPS, telecom rectifier, motor drive, solar power etc., high power application. DC fast charger hardware design background will be preferred.
e. Excellent understanding of low voltage system components design includes but not limited to: EMI filter, breaks, relays, charger couplers etc, and as well as the system power distribution design.
f. Result-oriented with good ability to collaborate with others, Able to work independently and under pressure will be considered as plus.
g. Fluent in English and Chinese communication skill.
h. Familiar in Computer skills (MS-Office, Outlook).
