Position Summary:

We are in search of an intern to join our Rakuten China research team whose mission is to conduct research on China internet market intelligence and innovations, and create report to share the research result to Rakuten global.

  

This is a part-time internship position. The intern will support the China research team in collecting China internet market news, researching on certain topics, translating Chinese to English, making power point slides and etc.. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, motivated, a quick learner and a hard worker. The intern will have the opportunity to learn knowledge about Internet companies and their services, and gain hands-on experience in market research and report creation.

  

  

  

Responsibilities:

  

？ Research on specific Internet related topics like e-commerce, OTA, IoT, Fintech, and etc.;

  

？ Translate research result in Chinese to English;

  

？ Create research report, e.g. Power Point slids, newsletter, etc.

  

  

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  

？ Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point);

  

？ Proficiency in translating Chinese to English; Excellent English writing skills;

  

？ Basic knowledge of Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;

  

？ Strong interest in Internet services;

  

  

  

Preferred Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge:

  

？ Excellent analytical and logical skills in investigating;

  

？ Sensitive to new technologies, new services, and new business models;

  

？ Passion for proposing new ideas;

  

？ Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  

  

  

Language Level:

  

？ Mandarin: Native Level;

  

？ English: Business Level;

  

？ Japanese: Not required.
