The key qualities we are looking for are:

1. Hands on C# (willing to work on VBA occasionally) or VBA, database, development experience

2. Results-oriented; takes responsibility and gets the job done

3. Self-driven; can work without close supervision

4. Able to adapt to organizational policies and practices, and to work within them to progress and complete work

5. Good communications skills, as the successful candidate will need to work closely with business in globally, and will have to engage with multiple stakeholders in order to do their job effectively

6. Able to work with the business to elicit and analyse user requirements for projects and changes

7. Substantial experience of using C#, Entity Framework/NHibernate and Oracle for application development 

8. Able to provide prompt and effective application support 

Candidate Specifications

? Extensive experience working in C# Windows application development(With Entity Framework)

? Extensive project experience on the Test Driven Development.

? Good SQL knowledge – either MS SQL Server or Oracle DB

? Self-driven; Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

? Results-oriented; takes responsibility and gets the job done

? Has good communication skills and is able to effectively work remotely, as the successful candidate will be based in China and will engage local team to work with the users Globally

? Able to rapidly adapt to HSBC organizational policies, practices and standards, and to work within them to progress and complete the work

? Proactive and willing to learn new technologies

? Experience of Agile(scrum) team working and globally deployed applications working is strongly preferred

Ideal Experience (following skills/experiences would be an added advantage)

? Project experience on JAVA would be a plus
