1. Support designer’s Tolerance stack-up Analysis in project. And provide improvement idea from GD&T.

2. Coordinate and lead virtual design reviews  for critical part and assembled part

3. Mentor other designers in tolerance methods

4. Support the communication with Customer in order to define the reasonable tolerance with customer interface.

5. Coordinate measurement systems design and build with gague engineers and assembly engineers to assure timely delivery of measurement systems that meet all customer and Webasto standards.

6. Lead dimensional improvements on sunroof and its sub-assembly geometry through part, tooling, or design actions.

7. Analyze and organize data from multiple sources into reports that identify top issues and potential root causes, and support standardization

8. Work with Component and Assemble part experts and Manufacturing Engineering Experts, Define guidelines for GD&T work

9. Ensure the GD&T and tolerance stack up skills improvement for Design team

10. Skill assessment & training for Design team at GD&T

Requirments:

 

  

1. Education and experience:

   Bachelor degree in Engineering (BE) from a four-year college or university;

   At least 3 years GD&T related experience in Europe or US company

2. The job requires a very good working knowledge of:

   Statistical methods and tools

   Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)

   Experience within a Tier I automotive supplier

   Strong analytic work methodology and problem solving skills

3. Software skill:

   CATIA experience

   3DCS experience is highly preferred

4. Communication skill:

   Good communication skill with team spirit
