Position Description:

The Role


We are seeking a VOC Analytics Senior Manager with experience working for a multi-national enterprise in a strategic role that will manage voice of customer related analytics initiatives. Your goal is to use data and analytics to help stakeholders across the organization to make key business decisions around customers that further our mission.

You’ll also be working closely with leaders across multiple functionality including marketing, customer experience, services, quality, e-commerce, etc. You will develop and lead a VOC analytics team and also contribute to the overall analytics community within Lenovo. You will be providing mentoring and leadership within the department that offers effective reporting, insight and analysis for multiple stakeholders.

Successful candidates will possess deep analytical capabilities, strong communication skills, and robust NLP experience. Additionally, they will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with different functions, focus on achieving practical business impact and work at both working team and exec levels.

As VOC Analytics Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Develop analytics solutions to generate customer insights that can be leveraged to ultimately enhance Lenovo’s customer experience
- Set the strategic direction for text analytics across the organization and build the platform to support that direction
- Develop machine learning algorithms leveraging repeatable patterns in qualitative data to discover new trends that lead to customer experience improvements, cost reduction, and revenue opportunities
- Drive cross-functional projects, working closely together with colleagues within department and other Lenovo teams (e.g. marketing, IT, services)
- Instill relevant VOC metrics into day-to-day operations
- Establish, grow and maintain data & analytics related tools, information base and processes
- Actively work with analytics vendors especially to build out text analytics capabilities
- Assist with the development skill set of a multi-disciplinary team to become key decision influencers
- This location will be based in either Beijing, China or Raleigh, USA

Position Requirements:

- Candidates will have a minimum 6-8 years NLP experience, based on which the candidate should have developed sound business/commercial judgment and critical thinking
- Strong NLP skills around text mining, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, etc
- Strong statistical skills and proficient database & programming skills to quickly prototype experimental solutions and develop robust, maintainable production systems
- Strong cross-functional project management capability to drive timely business impact working with diversified project team
- Strong people management capability and remote management experience as a plus
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, with capacity to interact with all levels in the organization (including regular exposure to executive management)
- Strong problem solving capability to tackle complicated issues
- Bias for action, drive for results while demonstrating positive attitude and enthusiasm
