Job Title: China Accounting Manager 28465
Location: Shanghai
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for an China accounting manager for a global F500 Medical device company at Shanghai.
Responsible to provide timely and accurate reporting in accordance with both local regulations (legal entity reporting) and US GAAP requirements. This position is also responsible to ensure that bookkeeping is in accordance with local statutory, tax, and other regulations, as well as Corporate Policies and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
? General Accounting: Oversees financial and accounting processes to ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/Standards and ethical standards with unyielding integrity;
? Review and report on G/L, focusing on accounts payable, inventory, payroll, tax and monthly accounting estimates, reserves and accruals;
? Driving change and promote implementation of new requirements, improving the operational accounting process and identifying best practices;
? Provide key support to Senior Finance Manager to resolve accounting and tax issues;
? Perform annual SOX compliance testing and implement remediation if required;
? Liaison with external auditors for timely completion of annual statutory audits;
? Taxation: Review payment and calculation of all local taxes;Assists with external auditors to ensure audit compliance; prepare US GAAP to local GAAP and tax adjustments;
? Assist in special projects in the APAC region as needed.
? Drives compliance in all finance related matters (CA&C, SOX, Statutory, monthly Closing); Participates in implementing Quality requirements in all aspects of the Finance Process.
Quality System Requirements:
? In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
? Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
Management Requirements
? Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Management requirement:
? Lead a team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
? Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
? May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisionsand/or operations.
? Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).
Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines:
? Requires approximate over 10 years ofwork experience in accounting and tax, with at least 3 years of experience in GL accounting, and some experience in taxation.
? At least 3 years of experience in managing people.
? Knowledge of Chinese GAAP is essential, additional knowledge in Tax laws and regulations and US GAAP would be advantageous;
? Requires a self-starter, able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment;
? Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with adequate Business English;
? Ability to work effectively in a team across diverse culture and local business practices.
