Business Unit
The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. The portfolio of products includes unique solution packages which are based on hardware and software systems to enhance yield and effectiveness. As a world leader in its field of expertise, the division's products are the most advanced in performance (measurement accuracy of nanometers and below), reliability, ease of use and compatibility with other KLA-Tencor's products. KLA-Tencor (Israel) controls over 80% of the world market sales in its field, and its products are used by every major semiconductor manufacturer around the world. KLA-Tencor Israel is located in the Migdal Haemek Industrial Park.

Responsibilities
1. Work as sustaining product service engineering. Serves as the central technical resource / interface with sustaining engineering, manufacturing, other technical support and field as the product(s) .Works to optimize serviceability, reduce cost-of-service. Drives continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics and software, tooling, technical documentation, knowledge management, and training.
2. Strong knowledge of overall system operation, system integration, and system calibrations.
3. Full understanding of the need to protect our service IP, and apply BKMs into documentations, FRUs, Tooling, and training.
4. Able to step into a difficult sustaining escalation, analyze data from various sources, and, working with divisional experts when necessary, provide a detailed action plan suitable for execution by Customer Service Engineer (CSE) and other Tech Support Engineer (TSE).
5. Works with Learning and Knowledge Services (LKS) to determine the training requirements for sustaining products and/or upgrades. Trains the trainer, and teach or co-teach initial courses. Audits service training courses to ensure their quality.
6. Responsible for providing technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and/or complex software.
7. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
8. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
9. Very adept at 7-step trouble-shooting, including driving learning and standardization where appropriate.
10. Around 20% Global Travel and 20% Domestic Travel.

Preferred Qualifications
1. KNOWLEDGE:
        - Strong communication, presentation, technical, analytical and data analysis skills is required.
        - Optics, electro/mechanical equipment, sophisticated computer systems, software systems/applications, networking systems skill.
        - Must able to diagnose problems through analysis of Inspection Reports, system log files, parametric diagnostic results and use of test equipment.
2. JOB COMPLEXITY:
        - Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
3. SUPERVISION:
        - Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
4. EXPERIENCE:
        - Masters with 3+ years, or Bachelors with 5+ years’ experience.
        - Education or working experience of semiconductor.
        - Education or working experience of Optics.
        - KLA-Tencor OMD working experience.
