Job Description
? 2nd level support for a group of technical services at a regional level.
? Assists other regions with support during their off hours when urgent situations arise and in an active role as agreed up by both regional directors.
? Administers and supervises virtualization technologies for the region, under the guidance and direction of the L3 global team along with supervision from the Regional Technical Manager
? Leads and documents the regional implementation of global technical projects with the support of the global technical team.
? Trains Level 1 on specific technical areas with the accompanying standards, policies and best practices.
? Assists sites with technical issues, calling upon the global technical team and external suppliers as necessary.
? Regional help desk call resolution
? Administration of
o Configuration & Implementation of Citrix & XenApp
o Configuration of VMWare ESX host servers
o Monitoring & Maintenance VMWare ESX host servers
o Monitoring & Maintenance Storage environment
o Thin Client deployment
o vRanger backup solution
? Keep server and IT documentation up to date
? Coordinate between global team and local support, carry out regional pilot and upgrade plan base on different technical topics
Reporting lines
? Reports to the Regional Technical Manager
Required Skills
? At least 1 year of experience with Citrix (preferably xenapp 6.x or 7.x) and Vmware ESX 5 and 6.
? A high level of technical expertise in a few subjects.
? Readiness for changes / innovations
? Able to effectively function in a diverse, multicultural environment.
? Good communication skills.
? Experience in Project Management
? Good problem solving skills
? Fluent English
