Purpose of the position:
Manage and support customer RFQ/RFP/RFI requests professionally to increase Panalpina’s win ratio for existing and new business in alignment with the respective Tender Management team.
The primary scope of the role is:
-Support the tender management air and ocean quotation process
-Review and analyze tender management rate file and quotation requirements
-Coordinate and support the pricing process in alignment with Tender Management, Business Unit, Subcontractor, Air and Ocean Product teams
-Update and consolidate rate and lead time files and/or online pricing system
-Coordinate and update RFQ required flight and carrier mappings
Key Tasks:
-High standard for quality and on time quotation submission to Tender lead team per work instructions and SLA with keep improve mind set.
-Analyze RFQ pricing / trade-lane / product Air and Ocean specification; Deep dive into win/loss analysis to improve success ratio
-Timely response regarding customer requirements and support Tender Mangers to ensure issue resolved.
-Participate RFQ alignment call with RFQ stakeholders
-Other tasks related to Tender Management
Decision Making Authority:
-Within the area of responsibility
-As per SLA guidelines provided by Tender Management and Product Air and Ocean
Function- Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working:
-Good knowledge of the air freight industry
-Good knowledge of the ocean freight industry
-Good knowledge of forwarding systems
-Ability to review, analyze and understand

-Good communication and networking skills

-Organization skills including prioritizing, planning, assigning and controlling objectives
-High ability to analyze issues, find root cause and determine solutions to resolve the issues
-Ability to focus on customer service as a core value, increasing efficiencies and high standards of quality
-Good ability to listen and well understand customer needs
-Good ability to present and articulate
Personal:
-Result oriented and customer focused
-Good inter-personal skills with positive mindset
-High integrity and hard working
Educational background / Work experience:
-Bachelor's degree or college graduate
-4 years of work experience preferred in an international e***ironment (minimum)
-3 years of overall industry experience (minimum)
-2 years of experience in Pricing/Solution and Project Management (minimum)
Language Skills:
-Excellent English and Chinese is mandatory (written and spoken)
-Other languages (written and spoken) a plus
Computer Literacy:
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software(Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others), expert of Excel and PowerPoint preferred
-Knowledge of Panalpina Applications preferred
