Main duties & responsibilities
1. Schedule workflow and operations according to manufacturing sequences and lead times
2. Make sure each operation meet promised shipping dates according to customer orders
3. Develop, set up and monitor functionality, master data/parameters in production planning tools used within SSAB such as SAP, PPSOne and so on.
4. Make a working schedule of the production in Kunshan , visualization and follow up it. Schedule contains details of the machines and material to be used, cost of material, mechanical and human resources, the time to do the job and the quality standard to be met.
5. Work with process engineer to develop and manage the subcontractor’s quality and delivery performance, make sure they can meet our request.
6. Define, Implement and follow-up production planning KPI´s.
7. Ensure a good communication & cooperation between different departments such as sales, customer care, warehouse and so on.
8. Make drawing and nesting when necessary as back up of team member.
9. Support production manager to improve K1 general situation.
10. Other tasks assigned by manager.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
1. A clear understanding of production processes; familiar with metal processing, such as machining, cutting, bending and so on.
2. Be able to compile detailed working schedules
3. Strong Planning, follow up and driven skills
4. Good communication, documenting & presentation skills
5. Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems
6. Be able to work cross functional and coordinate requests from internal/external customers
7. Manage to multi task and run several initiatives in parallel
8. Project work experience
9. English and Chinese language ability (both speaking and writing)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor degree in engineering . Equivalent work experience and education will be considered, advanced degree and relevant professional training preferred
2. 3-5 years of experience in manufacture production planning area.
3. Knowledge of CAD / 3D reading and drawing / Nesting Skills will be plus.
4. Ability to document in writing and to structure complex issues, can reading the engineering drawing.
5. Experience from working in a multi-site and -country environment
