The Project Manager is instrumental in strengthening project management and sale of complex measurement solutions into the Automotive Industry in China. The candidate holds fundamental technical and commercial expertise, is the interface to many internal and external stake holders and is responsible for the successful completion of projects. This key-position requires an accomplished project manager with strong communication and organisation skills.
General
-Manage the assigned projects to ensure the fulfilment of all project goals, in term of on-time, on-cost and on-quality deliveries
-Visiting potential customers in China to present systems and solutions in tandem with Sales
-Establishing good relationship with key people on end-user and OEM side
Sales
-Support sales to introduce solutions to potential customers
-Transfer customer requirements into solutions in tandem with the PM teams in Germany and France
-Coordinate proposals, price calculation and quotations
Contract
-Conduct to approve technical specifications
-Advising Sales in commercial negotiations
-Contract and technical agreement Management
Project execution
-Develop a good customer relationship and meet customer’s need base on the supply scope
-Be skilled at communication with internal company, customer and supplier
-Follow up project implementation and edit summary reporting
-Clarify the project open issues, evaluate and manage project risks
-Skilled in outsourcing parts price and cost calculation and negotiation together with purchasing department
-Resource planning in close coordination with the service department
-The project Manager holds the overall responsibility for obtaining final acceptance certificates
Technical skills requirement
-Industry metrology know-how and engineering capability to meet customer’s needs
-clarify and standardize technical specifications and quotation table list
-Understanding of equipment capability , fixtures, layout, cycle time and acceptance criteria
To perform his/her duties frequent travelling within China is required (approx. 50%). The candidate reports to team leader of project managers in Shanghai.
Requirements
-Bachelor or above on mechanical engineering
-At least five years working experience in a MNC in project management of complex turn-key solutions
-Native Chinese, fluent in English oral and writing
-Self-discipline, self-motivation, skilled at communication
-Fast response and target oriented
-Be enthusiastic and able to work under pressure
-Experience of non-standard and customized projects would be a benefit
