Purpose of the job:
The Technical Sales Manager is the core position within the e-Traction China organization to lead, define and execute the process of introducing e-Traction advanced powertrain technology to the PROC-market. The TS-manager is the senior responsible for scouting, contacting and developing sales leads in the Commercial vehicle market all with the ultimate goal of meeting the goals of brand positioning, sales output and growth.
? Successful introduction of e-Traction (products) to the Chinese new energy commercial vehicle market.
? Continuous development of sales output in line with business plan.


Responsibilities:
 The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for:
? Identify and follow-up on customer opportunities and map the prospect landscape of the target market;
? Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in (assigned) customer accounts.
? Actively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs.
? Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet customer objectives and expectations.
? Represent the entire range of company products and services to prospects and customers
? Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts


 Discretionary powers:

? The position does not include any signing authority.
? Within the scope of activities, the account manager must be able to independently assess and decide when internal resources are to be used.

 Accountable for:

? Observing and reporting market trends and commercial opportunities Follow-up on market trends and commercial opportunities Meeting assigned objectives
? Supporting external sales managers / distributors / partners
? Processing and follow-up of quotation requests until order confirmation

? Organizing and coordinating the process of conducting internal multi-disciplinary feasibility studies based on prospect requests.
? Managing and improving quotation and order system
? Providing required commercial information to customers
? Maintaining customer relations
? Continuous improvement of customer satisfaction
? Project coordination in case of –requested- product changes
? Managing administrative process of claims
? Delivering mid- and long term sales forecast
? Processing activities related to customer contract management
Tasks:

? Identify and follow-up on customer opportunities and map the prospect landscape of the target market;
- Participate at trade fairs, conduct market studies, stay on top of industry media, approach customers ‘hot’ and ‘cold’, organize road shows and actively participate in discussions via a variety of media;
? Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in (assigned) customer accounts;
- Conduct a structured and productive form of account management having both a commercial and technical dimension and proactively act as a spokesperson of e-Traction China.

? Actively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs;
- Conduct customer intakes on specific project needs, proactively observe industry trends and requirements and support product development in conducting voice-of-customer investigation to sharpen design requirements.

? Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet customer objectives and expectations;
- Initiate projects and prepare customer specific quotations. Involve all key personnel needed within the group to gain all relevant insights.


? Represent the entire range of company products and services to prospects and customers;
- Lead the design and preparation of the whole sales kit with inclusion of brochures, social media, event participation and so on.

? Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Actively prepare sales forecasts, manage customer intake and built an increasing sales base to further develop the companies operational output.
- Later on, actively develop other markets than the commercial vehicle market to gain wider diversification and sales growth.

Knowledge and skills :

? Bachelor degree in business or technical science;
? Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry in China;
? Minimum of 8 years of technical sales experience in international B2B;
? Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary project team;
? Strong organization skills, with ability to take initiative and to get buy-in and support for initiatives;
? (Working knowledge of CRM system such as Salesforce.com);
? Ability to meet strict deadlines and perform multitask activities;
? Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Chinese.

Independency :
The Technical Sales Manager will operate on high level independence and in close cooperation with the Managing director of the e-Traction China office. The TSM will interact with the technology departments in the Netherlands.
Working conditions :
Willingness to travel frequently (internationally) for multiple days
