Position:Lean manager

Responsibilities/Duties:
?OPERATING SYSTEM implementation and maintenance
1.Responsible for preparing (foundational work) , deploying, monitoring, reporting and Project Management of the OPERATING SYSTEM deployment at a site.
2.Leads and facilitates site communication, education and training.
3.Leads site pre-analysis that includes base-lining operational and financial measurements.
4.Seeks opportunities to develop own OPERATING SYSTEM knowledge.
5.Orchestrates the use of embedded site resources.
6.Drive continuous improvement.
7.Monitors maturity scorecards and develop actions to lead site through maturity phases.
8.Continually challenge conventional thinking, drive accountability for site or functional results and deployment, and sustain the application of the OPERATING SYSTEM
9.Teaches continuous improvement thinking, both leading and coaching others to lead, Kaizen events daily.
10.Participates on the Site OPERATING SYSTEM Steering Team.
11.Support continuous improvement following implementation.
12.Excellent Organizational / Technical skills, serves as change agent with the plant.
13.Key mentor and coach of improvement for Team Leaders
14.Identify and share best practices from inside and outside of the plant with other plants within the group and with other Business Units. Contributes to the OPERATING SYSTEM SharePoint site by sharing examples/Best Practices.

?Continuous Improvement Process
15.Model and coach a drive towards perfection in order to instill a continuous improvement mindset throughout the plant.
16.Lead the OPERATING SYSTEM deployment strategy for the plant, including suppliers and customers.
17.Support Policy Deployment, the implementation of the plant’s future state “vision” at all levels of plant operation
18.Coordinate and assist Kaizen teams in the definition of continuous improvement projects planning concerning scope, time, quality, budget, milestones, allocation of resources, etc.

?Training
19.Assess the site’s needs and requirements for OPERATING SYSTEM training and develop a training concept for the site.
20.Align training with the OPERATING SYSTEM standard materials.
21.Identify and develop/coach Internal Trainers on basic Lean tools.


Other
22.Participate in the hiring and assessment process of people involved in the OPERATING SYSTEM and production.
23.Participate in the APQP process to ensure that relevant OPERATING SYSTEM practices are considered and deployed.
24.Participate in the development of specifications for new equipment to comply with Lean OPERATING SYSTEM principles.
Position Requirements:
1.Successful candidates must possess a strong manufacturing background, combined with an aptitude for training and leadership. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing is desirable. Previous experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is required as well as Lean implementation.
2.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team environment with little guidance.

?Specific Skills
1.Strong Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (or similar) tools and philosophies.
2.Strong oral and written communications skills.
3.Experience of 5+ years in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
4.Must be able to speak English + the local language.
5.Strong Mathematical and analytical aptitude – demonstrate problem solving capacity.
6.Ability to think analytically and critically but also engage empirically and pragmatically.
7.Ability to work both in teams and independently.
8.Self-motivated.
9.Creative and innovative thinking.
10.Must have project management experience skills.
11.Ability to motivate / energize others, has excellent teaming and interpersonal skills.
12.Must have proven ability (history) of getting breakthrough results through improvement tools and techniques.
13.Must have significant cycles of learning & conducting kaizen events + problem solving.
14.High energy, positive "can-do" mindset.
