职位描述
Job Content
1. Read, understand and rewrite material into the target language (English or Chinese), ensuring that it is grammatically correct and that the original meaning is retained.
2. Be familiar with insurance industry terminology, processes and issues.
3. Liaise with internal customers to discuss any unclear aspects.
4. Proofread and edit final versions to ensure absolute accuracy and top quality, both in content and presentation.
5. Work closely with other members of the Marketing Services team to ensure proper coordination and maximum support efficiency to the BUs
6. Liaise with internal clients and establish priorities in agreement with relevant senior management, ensuring all stakeholders are clear about what can be achieved and within what time-frame.
7. Proactively advise colleagues where information of interest or value to them comes to light.
Education and/or Experience
1. Undergraduate degree, either in English and/or Translation Studies.
2. 1-2 years minimum previous translation experience, ideally in Financial Services area.
3. Translation training an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Excellent writing skills in both Chinese and English; fluency in spoken Mandarin and good spoken English.
2. Familiarity with translation software, dictionaries, thesauruses and other relevant tools.
3. Familiarity with Internet sources of relevant data and information to support translation work.
4. Some knowledge of financial services material, ideally insurance-related.
5. Able to handle large quantities of information.
6. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
7. Good interpersonal skills and excellent team player.
8. Cultural knowledge of English-speaking countries an advantage.
9. Proficient in presentational media.
10. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Excellent word processing skills.
