1. | JOB PURPOSE |
The purpose of the role is to deliver profitable and repeat sales to the business and maintain positive customer relations, which will include:- · Being the first point of contact for new and existing customers and providing a high quality and professional Sales service, to secure profitable and repeat contracts and meeting customer expectations and deadlines. · Having ownership of key customer accounts, developing new customers and leads and formulating sales and marketing strategies to deliver business growth. · Being pro-active in developing and maintaining positive customer relations, at all levels, to close sales and promote long term supply agreements and contracts. · Promoting a positive image of Cullum Detuners Ltd, within a global environment, to all customers and suppliers. |
2. | JOB ACTIVITIES |
· Be the key Sales point of contact for appointed customers and projects; capturing and interpreting project/customer requirements, · Maintaining ownership of enquiries received from your customers, within the business, and managing and co-ordinating their execution with both internal teams and external bodies, to ensure our customers' needs are met, in a timely manner. · Co-ordinating the production of internal and external cost estimates for the proposed solution, including the production of equipment specifications, where required. · Producing financial cost models of the proposed customer solution/s for the approval of the General Manager and the board of Directors. · Producing detailed proposal documents to effectively communicate our proposed solutions and products and the benefits they offer our clients. · Identify and report any areas of business risk - both technically and commercially. · Undertake customer Sales visits and subsequent reporting to the Sales and Applications Manager, to include overseas visits. · Provide effective and timely communication with customers to secure profitable contracts and promote long term supply agreements and contracts. · Creating and maintaining long term relationships with our customers to support and promote business growth. · Promoting the benefits of our Company's solutions and products to existing and new clients. · Completing our Contract Review process and effectively handing over "as sold" contracts to our Projects team for execution. · Work closely with other departments in the Company to ensure that customers'and the Company's requirements and expectations are met. · Apply good sales practice to ensure that you:- - Convert leads to enquires and quotes to sales, through good sales closing skills. - Use market knowledge to gain new customers in our chosen fields and identify new business opportunities. - Plan and execute strategies to identify, target and generate business with customers. - Constantly gain market knowledge and use it as a team to bring in new business. - Set targets and goals in communication with the Sales and Applications Manager. - Have good awareness of competition, marketing and sales trends, within our business sectors. - Provide business strategy, planning and forecasting. · Provide effective reporting to the Cullum Sales Director and Sales team. · The above activities must be completed in a timely and effective manner to meet the deadlines set by our customer and the Company. |
3. | SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
· The post holder must work to attain optimum performance in service and delivery within their area of responsibility. · Will be required to work individually and part of the parent companies Sales team to achieve tight deadlines, using own initiative. · The work is varied, may be complex and will involve changing rapidly from one task to another during the working day, often under pressure. · Will be required to communicate with other services and outside organisations at all levels. · Lead by example taking into consideration health, safety, environmental, welfare and ethical practice. · Identify and implement areas of improvement within the Department. · Ensure that the Sales & Applications Manager is informed of major developments and/or problems within the Department, its supply chain and customers.
