EDUCATION (state degree and field)
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE (state number of years and field)
? Minimum 15 years overall software development.
o 10 years experience COTS scientific software development.
o 7 years programming experience in C and C++.
o 7 years experience developing GUI based applications.
o 7 years of management experience
o 5 years of software project management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (state minimum levels required and preferred)
? Engineering Simulation
？ Comprehensive knowledge of [C++] with a mastery of basic/common numerical, parallel computing and HPC algorithms.
？ Experience using scientific and parallel computing packages
？ Comprehensive engineering and problem solving skills
？ Advanced knowledge of commercial simulation packages.
? Software Development
？ Advanced knowledge of software engineering methodologies and practices
？ Advanced knowledge of target languages, e.g. C++/Java/.net FORTRAN,C.
？ Advanced knowledge of target hardware/OS/environments, e.g. Windows and LINCX platforms.
？ Ability to author clear design documents technical presentations using leading productivity tools, including Visual Paradigm and Microsoft Office applications
? Leadership and Teamwork
？ Advanced technical leadership skills, proven ability to mentor others
？ Advanced project management skills
？ Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
？ Ability to effectively interact in a diverse team environment

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Describe the essential job functions. This is not a task list. It is an outline summary of the top six to eight areas of responsibility-List in order of time spent in them, from more to less)
Responsibilities
? Manages software projects, author project documents, code development, testing, and documentation.
? Develop software programs/proof of concepts when needed
? Mentor development teams in good design and development practices
? Ensure all deliverables meet established Product Quality Metrics and Guidelines.
? Assist QA and V&V teams with benchmarking and certification to ensure a successful and timely product release.
? Works with product management, marketing, sales and business development teams.
? Supervise code reviews for team’s development.
? Leads and mentors other members of the technical team.
? Researches competition practices and advances in the industry and software development.
? Perform general managerial activities of staff ( i.e., hires, trains, appraises, motivates, disciplines, and recommends terminations as necessary).
? Employee development (training, usage of software tools, coding techniques, etc.)
? Provide recommendations regarding acquisition of hardware, software, and consulting services in support of Business projects and opportunities.
? Provide recommendations regarding capacity, upgrades, changes, enhancements to IT processes and systems
