Position Description


Our client is a leading global supplier of components and systems for electrical and optical connectivity. To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:



Position: MLEH (Mater Line Extreme Hybrid) Manufacturing Unit Manager
Report to: Cable Asia Plant Manager
Location: Changzhou



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Lead transfer project to ensure all transfer process are followed.
? Lead transfer project to ensure that budget target is met.
? Lead transfer project to ensure that the time line target is met
? Ensure commitment to manufacturing mission statement and yearly unit objectives;
? Lead MLEH manufacturing unit to ensure customer satisfaction in term of quality and delivery time;
? Work with Supplier Chain Management to support Sales team and define production capacity requirement from midterm level to daily production;
? Define required resource to meet production plan according to agreed overall level of efficiency and provide management and HR with this information timely. Work with HR to recruit new employees. Implement training need analysis and develop training programs to meet quality and business requirements;
? Define unit objectives and each staff objectives in accordance with Operations objectives;
? Ensure quality right the first time approach and implement quality tools in MLEH manufacturing unit;
? Lead MQE to improve the overall quality control in the manufacturing and deal with customer complains in the professional way;
? Manage all transfer of new product and projects linked to the unit and related processes;
? Support project leader for big projects if request;
? Manage budget for MLEH unit after Master production start.
? Create and maintain all required indicators to follow key performance and continuous improvement progress;
? Promote EH&S throughout MLEH organization and meet ISO 14000 requirements by implementing EMS process;
? Meet all GMS requirement and promote its use throughout MLEH organization and pass successfully internal and external audit;
? Maintain production area organized and clean according to 5 S's principles;
? Support all inquiries from SCM organization in a way which meet customer requirement;
? Promote employee participation and development with involvement of all employees;
? Communicate information "up, down across and out". Hold daily , weekly and monthly meeting as required with MLEH team and business partners ( logistic , supply chain management etc );
? Respond to enquiries from internal customers, suppliers, peers, managers and employees;
? Report the unit activity to Manufacturing Manager as required and defined.



EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

? More than 5 years in operation position such as production supervisor, technical supervisor, project manager. production manager is preferable ;
? Strong technical background on assembly, quality management, Lean manufacturing concept.
? Be familiar with Quality standard and Quality tool;
? Experience with ERP system;
? Good management skill;
? Good communication and presentation skill;
? Good English both in oral, reading and writing.
