Providing best practice implementation and design for solutions, roll-out of e-commerce and general informational sites in new markets and handling all aspects of troubleshooting, configuring and optimizing within the respective environments.

Web Developer

Maclaren – Hong Kong or China

The Web Developer is responsible for global maintenance, upgrades and enhancements of the company's e-Commerce and general web platforms. Providing best practice implementation and design for solutions, roll-out of e-commerce and general informational sites in new markets and handling all aspects of troubleshooting, configuring and optimizing within the respective environments.
The Web Developer is expected to write and deploy the necessary code to implement the required site design changes. This person will work closely with our Creative and marketing teams in order to leverage the platform to build revenue generating commerce applications for the web, mobile, tablet and social channels.
Requirements:
 ? 2+ years' experience using Web development technologies such as web services, XML, HTML, CSS, Ajax, J2EE, Java, SOA, JavaScript (JQuery, JSON, Backbone, Underscore), etc.
 ? Expertise in object-oriented programming
 ? The ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into customer solutions.
 ? Strong documentation skills.
? Fluent in reading and speaking English


Nice to have, but not required:
 ? PHP
 ? Familiar working with NetSuite platforms, such as SuiteCommerce or SuiteCommerce Advanced.
 ? Experience in working with 3rd party integrators
 ? Working knowledge of Wordpress
 ? Familiar with BigCommerce Platform
 ? IOS and/or Android development
? Experience working with e-commerce applications with catalog, shopping cart, merchandising and payment handling a plus

Education:
 BS or BA in related field is preferred, but we will consider experience in lieu of degree

Travel Requirements:
 Periodic travel where necessary
