Job Responsiblities,

1. This position is responsible for coordinating and performing benchmarking related activities in Shanghai, China along with providing support to other global OSS engineering facilities and functions.

2. The position performs teardown, analysis, documentation, and reporting of occupant restraint systems products and components.

3. Primary focus on airbags, steering wheels, and seatbelt systems.

4. Additional duties include procurement of samples, coordination of testing, performing detailed studies and trend analysis, plus support of local engineering.


Education Requirements
Above college Degree, Engineering Technology degree preferred.

Experience and Skill Requirements
5+ years minimum experience required. Good communication skills and self motivation are required with direct supervision being off-site.

Mechanical Ability
-Use of hand and power tools for disassembly & teardown
-Identification of component and system manufacturing processes
Photography
-Proficiency in digital photography

Software Knowledge
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
-General knowledge of databases
-Knowledge of digital still processing software (“Photoshop” type software)

Organization
-maintaining inventory of parts
-balancing multiple projects and priorities
-familiar with the safe handling of pyrotechnic devices (inflators, MGG’s) and general HS&E procedures/guidelines
