Role Summary/Purpose
This role is responsible for extending marketing throughout the organization, driving innovation and aligning strategy execution across all geographies and across all modalities.
This role focuses on marketing related responsibilities in Lighting Asia.
Essential Responsibilities
Commission market broad research to identify market opportunities
Recruit/build a strong marketing team to closely partnership with sales channels and capable of supporting defined geographies
Collecting the benefits sought & unspoken needs of customer segments
Owning the growth playbook process
Working closely with Business leadership on generating business growth potential
Continually evaluate the product portfolio versus customer needs and competitive actions to identify opportunities for rationalization and strengthening
Developing global marketing plan(with input from share folders and coordinated with all Poles), and value proposition which is provided to modality and regional teams for localization & Execution
Identifying points &I intersection and creating collaboration with other GE P&Ls and businesses
Aggregating countries’ segmentation schemes into a pole segmentation scheme
Ensuring regional/operational plans & executions are in accordance with stated marketing plan (value proposition, positioning, marketing mix, etc.)
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business administration or Engineering, or equivalent (defined as an Associate Degree and at least 10 years’ experience in marketing or product field in lighting industry)
5 years’ working experience in Marketing (in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Engineering), and 3 years’ experience in Marketing leadership with team management responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; Ability to speak and write Mandarin is a must…Fluent speaking in Cantonese is a plus.
