Position

Title: Asia Pacific HR Director







Reports

To: Senior Global HR Director







Location: Shanghai,

China







Overview:







Responsible for the strategic planning of the human

resources function in Asia organization that includes Japan/Korea, China, South

East Asia, Taiwan, etc. In charge of

recruitment, training and development, compensation, staff welfare and facilities. Formulates policies and supervises policy and

legal compliance. Oversees and monitors

the company's Ethics program for Asia.

Responsible for the implementation of Meritor's HR strategy so that the

organization attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to

achieve its current and future business operations.



Core

Responsibilities:





·

Manage HR teams across Asia

Pacific to ensure continuous improvement and shared best practices throughout

region.





·

Ensure excellence in HR processes

and procedures including staffing, merit planning, training and development,

performance management, and performance incentive processes.





·

Manage labor relations with all

business units, factories and offices.





·

Drive employee engagement -

remaining union free and partnering with union where appropriate.





·

Coach Managers to create an

environment where employees can be their best and reach their potential.





·

Influence Operations and Senior

Management to align people and business objectives, initiatives and innovations.





·

Continuously look at process

improvement within the function.





·

Coach and mentor direct reports.





·

Assist each of the

functions/businesses in setting strategy to be successful.





·

Participate in the due diligence

of acquisitions and joint ventures.

Experience in union and nonunion

facilities

Experience supervising and leading

Field/Plant HR experience





·

Plant startups and closings

experience is preferred











·

International assignment or

exposure is preferred


Education/Certifications:





·

Bachelors degree in HR related

major and MBA preferred





Requirements:





·

Must have been in an Asia Pacific

position for at least 3-4 years





·

Strong experience in Labor

Relations.





·

Prefer experience with some JV or

State Owned Enterprises





·

Excellent English
