Sandvik in Beijing is seeking for a Area Sales Manager
Sandvik is a high-technology, engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading position within selected areas. Worldwide business activities are conducted through representation in more than 130 countries. In 2012 the Group had about 49,000 employees with annual sales of approximately 99,000 MSEK.
The position would directly report to Regional Sales Manager, below please refer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
· Support of Sales and technical service regarding introduction of WTP and Valenite products.
· Test new Products, collect cutomer feedback and make report about gathered information.
· Drive sales.
· WTP and Valenite product & application strategies
· Sales strategy
· Analyse Strengths & weaknesses compared to our competitor
· Project direction and follow-up (OEM, KA)
· Develop new customers and dealers
· Gather market information and trend
· Sign, execute and follow up the contract
· Communication with sales people, customers and the company
· Team building and motivating
· Meet company goals and objectives
· Monitor, measure and guide individual sales team results
· Establish a long-term strategy, securing commitment to the objectives and plansconcerning in Area
· Maintain and expand business with existing customers as well as with new customers
· Responsible for Sales & Marketing Plans in the Area
· Establish local market, sales and price strategy
· Responsible for Sales and profitability targets including budgets and forecast in Area
· Define and plan the development, promotion, sales and profit realization of existing and new products
· Responsible for market intelligence regarding competitors marketing, sales activities and trend
· Ensure that all employees work towards agreed objectives
· Establish communication in the team
· Push and help each sales engineer to reach the sales target
· Propose the suggestive ideas for sales
· Other related tasks
Your profile:
· Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related major
· At least 2 years sales and management experience in mechanical industry
· Familiar with CNC machines, machining centers and cutting tools
· Industrial Base
· Prefered would be cutting tool experience and knowledge of CNC Machines
· Preferably from tooling industry or OEM-machine builder
· Good personality and management skills to motivate and lead sales people;
· Good communication skills and customer orientated thinking
· Ability to work independently and willing to take up challenges
· Sales management of a team and area in the same or similar industrial
· Sales management experience of 7 to 10 people in a budgeted sales area, with a successful track record
· Frequent business trip adaptability
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
