JOB DESCRIPTION
IT Site Leader/Specialist

Purpose of Job
Provide End User support and to manage and maintain the local area network, servers, clients and telecommunications equipment for Givaudan Nantong and where required other sites in China (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, SongJiang and Hong Kong). Person should have the potential to be delegated as Deputy IT Manager for country in the longer term.


Job Dimension ( Scope)
The role involves managing & supporting the local IT infrastructure operations & projects. Requires close liaison with local, regional & global offices in relation to the implementation of standards, upgrading systems and supporting global and regional projects in different phases.


Key Relationships

Internal:

· All Givaudan Users
· IT Management & IT staff in China, Singapore and the Global Infrastructure team.

External:

· IT & Telecommunications Vendors
· External support staff


Competency Requirements

Education & Knowledge (Skills, competencies, & languages)

Minimum requirements
· Degree/Diploma in Computer studies or equivalent
· Good oral / written English communication skills
· Exposure to Multi-site IT infrastructure management experience
· 3-5 years of IT operation support & implementation.
· 1 year supervisory experience in IT

Desirable requirements
· Experience in new manufacturing site setup.
· Trained or certified in ITIL, Project Management, Cisco Networks, Microsoft & Landesk

Experience

Industry specific:
· Good understanding of business systems & robotics

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
· Communicates to business to promote IT services.
· Manage & support Local, Regional & Global project rollouts
· Manage & support Local IT systems
· Ensure servers, LAN/WLAN, clients & telecommunications equipment are:
fully functional & configured to group standards
of a high standard in terms of age and condition
· Manage data backups & DRP
· Ensure system security conforms to group standards and IT policies
· Monitor WAN & LAN performance to minimise down time
· Resolve user incidents in a timely manner
· Escalate major problems to Region or HQ depending upon the circumstances
· Manage and support IT assets & procurement
· Establish SOP together with IT manager
