TITLE English Curriculum Deputy Director

REPORTS TO English Curriculum Director

LIAISE WITH Foreign Staff Recruitment & Relationship Coordinator, English Teachers

RESPONSIBLE FOR English Teachers

Curriculum Research & Development

? Assist the English Curriculum Director in establishing academic policies and procedures

in line with English curriculum and needs of Etonkids

? Assess available English educational products and services for children

? Create scope and sequence and content for English educational products and services

? Maintain an online English resource site made available to all English department members

Academic Supervision & Training

? Assist in field supervision - observation and assessment of English teachers

? Assist in evaluation and mentoring of English Teachers

? Take pictures/videos of classes for monitoring and training purposes

? Together with Regional Academic Coaches, monitor lesson plans and student records/reporting

? Assist in department meetings/trainings and professional development days

? Be involved in the training of new English teachers, when possible

? Create and supervise Mentor Program for new teachers

? Provide support to the NCO team in the set-up of new English classrooms, when requested

Foreign Staff Relationship & Recruitment Duties

? Work together with foreign staff relationship and recruitment coordinator to provide

administrative support to all foreign English teachers

? Facilitate communication between foreign English teachers and other

Etonkids staff/departments, when needed

? Assist in resolving disputes, when deemed necessary

? Assist in the ongoing recruitment of new English teachers

? Assist in the planning and execution of regular team building/social activities for foreign teachers

Other Duties and Responsibilities

? Edit documents, when deemed necessary

? Help cover classes in the event of an English teacher's extended absence, when needed

? Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities that are in line with the employment contract

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree, Masters Degree (preferred), TESOL Certificate (preferred)

At least two years classroom experience, experience in China (desirable)
