Operations Project Manager – Asia

Position Location:

Description:

The Operations Project Manager will play an integral role in the continued growth of The FuDi Company. FuDi, a small business with ~50 direct employees, is a rapidly growing manufacturer of quality building product brands, primarily focused on the growing Outdoor Living category. This position will be a key contributor by assisting in the development of new product and act as a communicator between US and China Operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to; management of contract manufacturing partnerships in China, quality control, engineering, the new product development process, and a liaison between the factories and the US office.

In order to excel in this role, the Operations Project Manager must have the ability to work closely with the Asian Operations Manager, Director of Operations, and the Business Unit General Managers, understand the business unit needs and successfully manage the manufacturing, quality and the New Product Development process to assure that we meet or exceed customer expectations and continue growth. Based out of China, this role will require domestic travel within China and likely 1 –2 trips to the US annually.

Dual : Director of Operations (US)& Asian Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

· Product Development - The FuDi Project Manager is responsible for setting and managing product development project timelines by understanding the needs and desires of the US Operations as well as the abilities of Asia Manufacturing.

- The PM should maintain project timeline progress. This is a shared system accessible at all times to our Asia team and US team.

- The PM will hold the responsibility of keeping the project on track by requesting needed items on both sides and working with the Asia Operations Manager or Division Managers if we are falling short.

- The PM should assure that all project trackers are updated daily with the needed information.

· Request For Quotes – The PM will receive RFQ’s from the DM’s or PDM and be responsible for obtaining the information, organizing it, logging it in the data base and returning it for the DM’s evaluation.

- RFQ’s should be handled promptly and in almost all cases returned to the DM or PDM for the next business day.

- The PM will be responsible for working with the appropriate Production Assistant to obtain the needed quotes.

- RFQ’s in some cases will require work with sub suppliers or other factories outside of our three primary factories. In many cases, this will require work with the AOM to identify that most logical supplier or seek additional supply options.

- The PM should review each quote after receipt from the factory to assure that they look fair and in line, prior to submittal.

- The PM should monitor various factors in the manufacturing costs such as raw materials, packaging, labor, etc. to assure that quotes to FuDi are good quotes.

· Manage and advance our China based manufacturing partners.

· Own manufacturing partner performance and relationships, requiring the ability to interface and establish trust with management and hold partners accountable.

· Potentially lead our China based engineering and quality control team.

· Assure that proper testing and documentation requirements are met.

· Other responsibilities as assigned by AOM or the Director of Operations.

Requirements:

· BS or BA in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).

· Bi – lingual. Chinese and English.

· 2 years of experience managing contract manufacturing relationships and proven track record in development, quality control and improvement.

· Ability to understand and effectively communicate in a business/sales setting and a manufacturing environment.

· Experience and awareness of the cultural difference working in China.

· Proven ability to set and meet time schedules.

· Capacity and desire to handle a high volume.

· Recent experience on a player/coach role. Proven ability to excel as both a doer and a delegator.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills to handle a high degree of complexity.

· Driven to win and excited to take on a challenging role.

· Ready to be a part of a company, culture and family for many years to come.

Requirements (Preferred):

· Advanced degree. (MBA)

· Six Sigma/Lean Experience.

· Proficient in Solid Works.

· Knowledge of and experience with welding and metal coating operations.

· Background in construction or building products.

运营项目经理在富蒂公司的持续发展中将起到对整体不可或缺的作用。我公司是一个小型的外企，直属员工的人数为50名左右，发展迅速，生产高品质的品牌建筑产品。专注市场不断扩大的户外生活用品。这一职位将成为协助新产品开发的关键力量，也是美国和中国运营之间的传讯者。职责包括，但不局限于：在中国国内合同制造伙伴关系的管理、质量控制、技术、新产品开发过程以及中国工厂与美国办公室的联络。

要想做好运营项目经理的角色，必须有能力与亚洲运营经理、运营总监以及业务部总经理紧密合作，能理解业务需求，并能成功地对生产、质量和新产品开发过程进行管理，以确保我们达到或超过客户的预期，并持续增长。这一角色基于中国海外，需要在中国出差，每年大概去美国1-2趟。

汇报给：

双重：运营总裁 (美国)& 亚洲运营经理

职责：

· 产品开发 – 项目经理通过对美国运营需求及亚洲生产能力的理解，负责制定并管理产品开发项目时间表。

- 项目经理应当对项目进程时间表进行维护。这是一个我们亚洲团队和美国团队随时可以同时共享的体系。

- 项目经理有责任对项目进行调控，使项目在预计轨道上进行。如有不足或不符合，可以对亚洲和美国的两个团队提出要求，并与亚洲运营经理或部门经理协作。

- 项目经理应当确保所有的项目跟踪者进行每天更新。

· 报价申请 – 项目经理将会收到DM或PDM发来的询价单，然后负责获取信息、整理信息、录入数据库，并返回给DM进行评审。

- 询价单需要迅速处理，几乎所有的情况都要求在第二个工作日回复DM或PDM。

- 项目经理负责与相应的生产助理协作，获得所需的报价。

- 某些情况下，询价需要与三个主要工厂之外的子供应商或其他厂家协作。大多数情况下，需要与亚洲运营经理协作以识别最合理的供应商，或寻找额外的选择。

- 项目经理收到工厂的报价后，要对报价一一检查，以确保对诸产品的报价看起来合理并成线性。然后再将报价提交给DM或PDM。

- 项目经理应当对与生产成本相关的各种因素进行监督，如原材料、包装、劳动力等等，以确保给到富蒂的报价是好的报价。

· 管理并提升我们在中国的生产合伙人。

· 控制生产合伙人的表现以及与生产合伙人的关系，有能力与合伙人的管理层交涉与建立信任，并保持合伙人应有的责任感。

· 潜在地领导我们中国的技术与质量控制团队。

· 确保能达到合适的测试与文件要求。

· 亚洲运营经理或运营总监分配的其他职责。

任职要求：

· 主修工程（机械或电气）的理学学士或文学学士

· 双语。中文和英文。

· 在管理合同管理关系方面有2年工作经验，并且在产品开发、质量控制和改善方面有记录证明。

· 在商业/销售背景和生产制造环境中，有理解能力并能进行有效沟通。

· 明白在中国工作的文化差异，并有相关经验。

· 能证明自己有制定时间表，并按时间表完成计划的能力。

· 有能力并渴望处理大量事务。

· 最近有同时以队员与教练的双重身份工作的经历。 并证明有超群的能力，可以同时做好实干家和代表两个角色。

· 很强的解决问题与分析能力，能处理高度复杂的情况。
