Responsibilities:
1. Analyze the purchasing processes based on the information obtained from the current purchasers and the European headquarters.
2. Based on the analysis, set up a strategic long-term purchasing policy with focus on added value and profitability.
3. ensure a build-up and optimization of a competitive supplier base
4. set targets on supplier performance, initiating and driving supplier developments on key suppliers with regular follow-up on the results
5. Support global sourcing activities by forcing the export from China world-wide production facilities.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 8 years purchasing experience in an industrial environment, including 3 in a strategic management position.
2. Good knowledge of the supplier market for castings, welded parts, geared parts.
3. Language skills: Good English level (both written and spoken). German is a plus.
4. Skilled with MS-Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
5. A net worker and good at gathering necessary information in -and outside the company.
6. A manager who clearly communicates within the company and motivates people.
7. analytical and able to convert this into a strategic action plan
8. Y hands-on, entrepreneurial spirited and like to carry out procurement activities yourself.
9. Accurate and can easily interpret figures.
10. Flexible and mobile.
11. A good negotiator and a person of integrity.
