Job Title: General Manager - China Joint Venture
Report to:China VP
Location:Weifang, Shandong China

Main Responsibilities:

Oversee plant and site operations in China which includes implementing and leading the overall plant manufacturing strategy and plan to support aggressive plan for growth.

Full responsibility of P&L.

Coordinate and manage the business requirements within the JV Manufacturing Plant, including:

Development and management of operations-related plans, budgets, policies and procedures

Responsible for ensuring quality, delivery cost, sustainability and customer satisfaction

Manage new product launches and global projects

Maximize operation’s competitiveness by actively developing local supply base for materials, components and tooling

Strong ethics and integrity

Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and direction to staff, including hiring of key team members

Working in performance drive culture

Identify opportunities that best utilize our infrastructure and meet customer requirements

Manage and support cross-functional team that is responsible for meeting customer quality and delivery requirement

Resolve problems by adjusting priorities, schedules and reassigning manpower where practical and necessary

Accountable for inventory - monitor control obsolete and excess inventory;

Work with customer to provide inventory model that will effectively reduce inventory and increase inventory turns

Monitor the progress of Technology Transfer and provide support to the TT team between headquarter and Chinese side.

Qualification & Experiences:

First degree in Engineering/Manufacturing with MBA degree preferable;

Experience in a range of operation & manufacturing processes, including assembly, heat treatment, cold forming and machining;

10+ years solid management experience and 5+ years of successfully managing people;

Substantial experience with MNC/JV company and in cross culture environment;

Outstanding communication skills with sound spoken and written English at all levels (written and verbal);

Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and in a project management environment;

Proven ability to provide high level customer service;

High level of energy and commitment towards continual improvement;

Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks/projects;

Mature and an excellent communicator with an ability to establish an effective working relationship with people at all levels;

Strong business acumen with solid experience in managing a profit and loss centre;

A highly self-driven team leader and player who is positive, entrepreneurial and flexible;
