The operations manager is responsible for managing the plant to manufacture quality products in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost effective manner to achieve companys goals on throughput, yield, raw materials and utilities consumption ratio and variable cost reduction. Ensuring the safety of both people and equipment in the production zone is an important function of this position. Operations manager should ensure the environmental protection code is followed in operations department. The position works out annual operation budget and ensures the budget approved by GM is followed in operation activities. By working together with Engineering, continuous process improvement to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity of production facilities will be made via equipment and process modification projects. The position is also responsible for developing operation supervisors, and through them, the 4 shifts of operators, to ensure the company has very competent operation workforce. The position is also responsible for production and raw material labels management and production warehouse management.

Qualification

1. Greater than 10+ years of experience in western chemical manufacturing site as engineering, production supervisor, operation manager roles;

2. Minimum B.S. Chemical Engineering degree

3. Proven skills in managing production staffs.

4. Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese with demonstrated experience communicating across a global environment.

5. Reporting: plant manager, second level to GM of China

Location: first 18 months working in Nanting and move back to Weifang JV
