POSITION PURPOSE
This role will oversee the operational activities of the company, including Purchasing and Distribution. The person in this role is responsible for understanding customer needs, establishing supply chain strategy and policies for the purchase of all incoming and outgoing materials, equipment, and supplies for manufacturing, as well as oversee the outgoing distribution of finished goods process which includes primarily export shipments but also domestic within China.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Oversees the inventory planning and purchasing for all raw materials, consumables and services for manufacturing

Oversees the distribution and transportation strategy for the raw material and finished goods warehouses

Develop operations strategies to meet business objectives, providing input to the Company’s long- range planning

Responsible to develop budgets for the Operations department

Develop global supply chain strategies aligned with manufacturing, customer and financial needs of the factory, K2 and Jarden, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures

Drive cost reduction and process improvements across the supply chain, ensuring best practices are in place

Lead and develop high performance teams

Support cross functional teams with product development, manufacturing, and finance (new product development)

Driving metrics in the areas of inventory planning, supplier performance and capacity planning

Qualifications:

A successful candidate in this role will has strong operational skills, can identify and implement process improvements, has 10+ years’ experience in purchasing and supply chain in China; pro actively communicates internally and externally; has the ability to understand the business; this person should be able to identify and communicate key objectives, risks and business value to stakeholders or groups that contribute to a project or are impacted by activities.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of ERP and WMS systems

Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Strong leadership skills

Strong team player with ability to resolve conflicts

Must be assertive and responsive in addressing issues that affect the business

Tang Rui Investment Consultancy (Weihai) Co., Ltd. is the wholly owned subsidiary of China Solutions registered in Weihai in 2012. One of the projects we are working in Weihai now is long term management outsourcing for a US Fortune 500 company Greenfield startup forecasted to put into production end of 2013 with a total land space of 100,000 square meters. We are now seeking to hire approximately 100 management and professional staff covering the varied disciplines of production, engineering, quality, purchasing, material, logistics, finance, HR, EHS, facilities, and administration. We also look to hire approximately 1,100 production staff and workers. Upon completion, this plant will be the largest manufacturing base of the industry.
