EHS Officer - Your Future Position?

As EHS Officer in our Flavours Division, you will support and assist site management team to minimize EHS risks and promote employee’s awareness by proper risk assessment, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement. In this exciting role you will:

• Conducting EHS Orientation training to new employees and/or contractors
• Facilitating tool box meeting and delivering other EHS training as required
• Helping on the development of EHS procedures/Policies and tracking their implementation
• Organizing regular site safety inspection with department/area owners; reporting findings and following up their correction & Prevention
• Following up all audits findings; and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of their corrective & Preventive actions
• Helping on organizing site EHS committee meetings and following up all actions agreed in the committee meeting
• Keeping good/regular liaison with authorities related to Environment, Health and Safety; reporting to EHS Manager any clue of authority concerns; prepare and submit the required environmental, health and safety reports and registration forms to reflect those changes properly
• Work closely with site manager and line managers to identify site critical risks and unsafe behaviour; Assist in the development of site annual EHS objectives, targets, projects and plans based on risk assessment
• Carrying out incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
• Helping on risk assessment and providing tangible solutions to minimize risks

Your professional profile includes:

• University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS or other related field
• At least 2 years of working experience in chemical/manufacturing industry
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the EHS specialisation; Certified Safety Engineer is a strong plus
• Familiar with laws, regulations, standards and relevant industrial practices
• IT knowledge (Office)
• Fluent in oral and written English, local Language essential
• Ability to work under pressure and capacity to handle multiple tasks at same time and rapidly solve problems with a time limit
• Good communication skills and team work, self-motivated, disciplined, and flexible to adapt to new situations
